Melanie has worked in the care sector for the last 20 years. During this time, she has raised four children and run her family home. Melanie finds care work fulfilling and challenging and has completed many courses covering the wide-ranging responsibilities of work in a care home. |

Lesley worked as a machinist before joining Friary Fields for her first care role. She has worked her way up to Senior Carer, putting her practical experiences over the years here to good use, helping her to gain professional qualifications. |

Despite her promotion to Senior Carer, Lesley is always ready to "muck-in", whatever the task. She tries to share her knowledge with her colleagues wherever possible, knowing that this will benefit all of our residents. |

Starting out as a volunteer nurse, Juliet progressed to become a staff nurse, assistant nursing supervisor and finally achieved the position of head nurse at a private hospital before joining Friary Fields. |

NVQ2
Manual handling, first aid, health and safety, basic food hygiene, infection control, fire safety and protection of vulnerable adults, challenging behaviour, principles of person centred care.
NVQ3
Dementia awareness, palliative care, manual handling, first aid, health and safety, basic food hygiene, infection control, fire safety and protection of vulnerable adults, challenging behaviour, principles of person centred care.
Other training undertaken by our care staff includes:
Neurological assessment, prevention complications of diabetes, mental health and psychiatric welfare, quality assurance, regular IV training program, basic life support (CPR) and other emergency measures.
